"a certain quality of spirit..."

Sometimes, when I look back through my photographic archives, I will come across a photo that evokes in me the feeling of something intangible. The photos are not technically good photos, sometimes they even provide poor image quality.  There is still something there, a feeling that can't be expressed.

Is this feeling being generated through my own projection, or is there an intangible something in the photograph itself?

My question being, where does the quality of spirit come from???

This is one of the photos that means nothing as a technical image but nevertheless, when my eyes pass across the image, it strikes something in me.
