Union Point, New Bern, NC - Where the Two Rivers Meet

It is hard to not feel emotional or unbiased about the photo when the content involves one's grandchildren. Since I can't tell (in a detached manner) about the content or the subject of this photograph, I tried to make it as impersonal as possible by applying a pencil effect to the picture.

The content of this photo is meaningful to me in many ways,  not the least of which is because we were standing together this summer at Union Point when the bridge was opening, and that we were together at that special place of confluence on the Neuse and Trent Rivers--the mystical, geographical point where the two rivers meet....
