More, in the Golden Hour of Evening.....

Christ Church Southwest Corner -
Wisps of moss were flying at me from the top of tree and they seemed like ghostly fingers.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This B&B on Pollock Street was once divided into two separate residences by quarelling brothers.  The house is presently merged as a whole again, hence the name "Harmony"

How odd is this?  On Middle Street, at the Catholic Charities next door to St. Paul's Church,  is a tabletop gravemarker laying in the grass only 2 steps from the sidewalk.
I had never noticed this grave of Rev. Irwin before though I had walked the sidewalk many times.

"Interestingly, one of the pastors from St. Paul's Catholic Church, next door at 504 Middle St. used to live in the rectory, and is now buried in the front yard. Monsignor Michael A. Irwin had the front porch built on the house and loved to sit on there enjoying the sunshine. When he died in 1952, he was laid to rest in the place he loved."

Sometimes, color is just fun!  Middle Street, New Bern.

Mitchell Bear, the most photogenic bear in town!  Mitchell Hardware, Middle Street.

This little birdie perched on the bench and posed for my camera.
A mass grave from the time of the yellow fever epidemic of 1799 is located at the Northwest Corner of this churchyard.
