Vivekananda Retreat Ridgely, Marbletown, NY

I recently flew up to Albany, NY and then rented a car to drive to Vivekananda Retreat Ridgely.  The beauty and spirituality of this place cannot be described by words.  As I was standing under the portrait of the previous owner of Ridgely Estate, France Leggett (Lady Margesson), I suddenly had an idea that I might be related to the Leggetts through my ancestress, Prudence Leggett.  My own Leggett ancestors are first found in Currituck, North Carolina in 1730.  The NY Leggett's were in Westchester, NY about the same time. Although my Mother has DNA hits in her database for NY Leggett's, there is no way for me to know the probabilities, I only have the possibility.

This was a wonderful, magical, beautiful, historic place to be.
