Beaufort by the Sea

Beaufort, NC

Beaufort is just a few miles down the road from New Bern.  The town is the 2nd oldest in the State and is rather infamous for being the stopping place for the pirate, Blackbeard. 
 
I post this photo here because my friends at the office liked it.  This was taken last weekend on a day when the sun was shining bright.

This house was an all girl's school at the turn of the last century.  The families who lived over at Cape Lookout would send their daughters here. 

It's quite an interesting house that seems to like to have it's picture taken!!
