The Persimmon Restaurant and a sidewalk on Broad Street

Opening day - Persimmon Restaurant

The Persimmon Restaurant held it's grand opening for lunch hour today.  I popped over there on my break in order to take a photo and also to pick up a menu --- just kind of checking things out.  I love the inside decor-- Seaside Resort/casual ambiance---just right for hanging out after 5:00 for a glass of wine and ....well, that's where the kink comes in.  Although the menu reads to be very haute New York (duck with blueberry reduction) there wasn't much on the menu for me, a vegetarian.  Still, I like the place and I hope they make it.  They were off to a running start today with a good crowd, and that even with thick black clouds hanging literally over them. My prediction is that they will get off the ground, and here is hoping they are here to stay.
