"You liked the food? I've heard mixed reviews."
" The seating reminds me of Bistro-by-the Sea in Morehead City. My husband and I don't like so much intimacy with strangers while we are eating."
Well, this is my version of my experience and my response to the comments:
The crab cake sandwich was delectable!! The side salad with goat cheese dressing was fresh. We weren't left to wait hungry or beg for crumbs during the space of time it took to prepare our food --- a basket of warm hard rolls and fresh butter was provided while we sipped on our wine. This was the clincher for me--we didn't have to ask anyone to light the candles for us. That little detail was all thought out before we arrived!! We wanted a table by the window or on the deck, but we were told that you must make reservations for that particular set up. No problem. I enjoyed our table with a catty cornered window which provided scenes of happy boats and boaters as they slowly rode the Neuse River.
It was a very enjoyable dining experience for us, and to boot it all, the tab was not so bad!!
So, that's it. That's my review. There is no doubt that I will return with family and friends for a unique and pleasant dining experience.
Long live the Persimmon!!
